Assistant Teacher
Little Angel Preschool, located at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stacy, MN has an opening for a Preschool Assistant Teacher. Little Angel Preschool provides quality preschool programming with a Christian focus for children ages 3 to 5 years old. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, creative, organized, and a team player that loves children.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Be at least 18 year old.
-Be a graduate of a high school or hold an equivalent diploma.
-Ability to track and implement new laws and updates to current laws with DHS.
-Know how to operate a computer and maneuver online websites/apps and emails.
-Be organized, including compiling files, manuals and lists.
-Outgoing and self starter.
-Completing tasks and projects in a timely manner.
-Ability to pay close attention to detail.
-Must pass DHS background check.
-Meet DHS Assistant Teacher requirements:
~12 qualifying college credits
~2080 hours of experience with children
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to):
You will work directly with lead teachers to help implement curriculum in a safe, healthy and nurturing classroom environment that supports each student’s social, emotional and intellectual growth and development. You are to encourage and assist in positive social interactions, ensure safety and well-being of students at all times and enhance learning through the creative use of materials. You will do one-on-one activities with students and lead a group of students each day. Attend church meetings and events as a representative of Little Angel Preschool as needed.
Hours are 8:45 AM to 2:15 PM Monday through Friday, in accordance with the schedule that the director provides. Hours may vary depending on enrollment and preparation needed.
